Students will link their knowledge of Scratch to the basics of Arduino programming, making an Arcade Game.

Using Mechantronics students will learn how to connect components on a breadboard and do basic Arduino programming to control them. The course is designed to introduce concepts step-by-step.
Your child will learn:
How to create a simple LED circuit to LED flashes at various intervals
The anatomy of an Arduino sketch, software and breadboard
Setup() functions and a loop() functions
How to “code” the Arduino
Mechanics and circuitry basics of robotics
Eligibility: This course is suitable for intermediate learners who have Scratch or other programming experience. Candidates may be invited to an interview to determine their suitability.
Non-Refundable Deposit: £50 is required at the time of registration to guarantee a place for your child. This will be deducted from the programme cost.
Each student will be provided with their own Arduino kit*
Students will be using visual coding and Arduino C which allows them to disconnect the Arduino from the Computer to create stand alone, autonomous projects.

Building Stand Alone Projects
Students will conceptualise and execute the project during the week. Creative thinking, brainstorming and collaboration will be practised by all.
Students will be re-familiarised with the electronic components covered in Level 1.
Programming the Arduino using visual coding and introducing the Arduino C language.
Anatomy of an Arduino; hardware and software.
Individual laptops provided.
Each student will bring their own Arduino kit* from Mechatronics Level 1 plus we will provide additional robotic's hardware.
